There is an exciting opportunity for Queensland school-aged children to be a part of the action at the Brisbane International 2010 as a Brisbane International Ball Kid. Being selected as a Ball Kid gives the children a chance to be on court with the world's best tennis players, on an international stage.
The Brisbane International is a world class event held at the new Queensland Tennis Centre. In 2010, the event will be held from the 3-10th January, kick-starting the ATP and WTA calendars. Ball Kids are a big part of the tournament. The players rely on our ball kids to keep the flow of the match going, so we are looking for candidates who are hardworking, mature and can act responsibly on and off the court.
Applications for 2010 Ball Kids close on Saturday the 1st of August. Please find attached an application form which can be distributed amongst your students, or forwarded on to the PE or Sport contact at your school.
There are also opportunities for people aged 16 and over to be involved in the event as volunteers. This is a great way to gain event experience at an international level, whilst working with other members of the community to make the Brisbane International one of the best tournaments on the tour calendar.
